Selling Baby-syndicate in Malaysia
Selling
baby to syndicate was the current issues in Malaysia that had scared everybody.
This activity is known as a trafficking baby illegally for the sake of money
perhaps. Local police believed that a big group of people must involve in this
crime. A doctor, at the centre of a nationwide babies-for-sale racket, has been
arrested by the police in connection with a syndicate that has allegedly sold
babies and children since 2009.
So from
the statistic given by the local police this activity still ongoing since 2009.
We also can claim that there should no proper solution to stop this illegal
activity. Otherwise this news had scared everyone. In people eyes Malaysia one
of the peaceful country, while this kind of crime had shaken the whole
country’s image and reputation as well. Almost 29 children were rescued by
local police, between the ages of one month to nine years. The saddest thing is
a. The babies were sold by biological parents to syndicate and the babies were
re-sold to childless parents. And the Doctor’s has involved in this crime
itself had shocked the whole country.
After the
investigation by the local police, the doctor, who practiced at a private
medical centre, was believed to have worked closely with the NRD civil servant in the babies-for-sale racket carried out by
the syndicate. The biological parents sold their babies to a syndicate for
between RM2,500 and RM4,500 each. Initial investigations have revealed that the
babies and children were sold for between RM18,000 and RM30,000, depending on
their physique, look and gender. The babies were then re-sold to childless
couples for more than 10 times the amount they were bought for.
Firstly,
this activity must be stopped immediately. And more efforts should be done to
put an end to this problem as the syndicate was believed to have been operating
nationwide. The punishment must be harder to create fear. Those had involved in
this crime must be given the big punishment and it would be the good lesson for
the future baby makers. And this might help create awareness among public not
to do these illegal things. We hoped that the police could work more closely to
prevent the baby sell to syndicate. However, all parents should be alert with
their child and must watch over their activity.
Additionally,
childless couples should also use proper channels if they want to adopt a
child, and should avoid buying one from the syndicate. Because
this is one the illegal activity which is wrong according to law, while this
also might create a big problem to that child to grow up with fake birth
certificate. Childless couples can adopt child in correct way for their own
benefit and for that particular child as well.
Finally,
baby selling to syndicate can’t be stopped until every individual take
initiative to solve it. So all individual must be a part in this activity to
prevent this from happen. As a human we are able to think what is good and bad
so everybody requested to think and act positively to protect the future of all
new generation, while could reduce crime in Malaysia.
